Play With Me (Bedroom Games #1) by Alisha Rai
Publication: April 8th, 2003
Genre: Adult Romance
Playing for a night…or for keeps?
Jewelry designer Tatiana Belikov may have matured enough to curb her impulsive nature, but wickedness is still her best accessory. When family troubles bring her to Las Vegas and face-to-face with the man who knows all her darkest desires, resisting temptation is futile. A night of no-holds-barred sin? Jackpot.
Once Wyatt Caine had nothing to offer Tatiana except his heart, but time has changed his fortunes. Now he’s the king of vice, and the king always gets what he wants. Especially when all he wants is her, all grown up and ready to play every dirty game he can devise.
They ignite like fireworks on the Strip, blazing hot enough to melt the best intentions. But their roll in the sheets turns into a roll of the dice, and when morning comes, Wyatt and Tatiana are left wondering whether to walk away…or go all in.

Play With Me is really only a book for romance lovers. There are romance or adult fiction books I 100% recommend to everyone but this is one that only people who truly enjoy this genre will like. Reason being it’s pretty much only romance and sex. There is little plot and the little it has is nothing to write home about. Does this make the book bad? No. It just means it’s a book in a sea of book and people who enjoy romance will be the ones most likely to get a kick out of it. I read many genres so adult romance is cool with me. I love it and enjoy it. This book was fun and enjoyable. But, compared to some others it’s just that fun and easy to read. I might go back years down the line and give it a read again but it is not my favorite.
It’s a second chance romance about two people who are into the BDSM lifestyle. Wyatt didn’t have much to offer Tatiana when they were young in love so life drew them apart. Years later they are both incredibly successful people but still, no one romantically or sexually does it for them like the other. Tatiana’s brother gets into a bit of trouble with his boss who happens to be Wyatt. Tatiana goes to him to try and help her brother out. But it turns into a chance for Wyatt and Tatiana to rekindle an old flame. It takes place over about two days so it is very short (it is a novella). It is steamy, sexy, easy to read, with pretty enjoyable characters.
I don’t remember major details about the characters but I do remember enjoying both. It’s a sexy book so not much character development is happening. But I do know they were into BDSM as teens/young adults and while others didn’t get it they had each other. I do like that Wyatt although could have been a typical alpha male he did not read that way to me. He acted stern but in the face of Tatiana, it did not last long. They were cute and enjoyable. Neither were particularly annoying which helps when reading such a short book that doesn’t have much plot. I liked them.
Again, not much to say as it was short but it was simple and easy to read. The sex wasn’t cringe so that is good and the romance was cute. Even after like 10 years (I think) apart they still clearly loved each other. He never wanted to let her go but her family pressured her a lot. They both were VERY encouraging of the others dreams, wants, and needs and I liked that a lot.
I want to keep you bound to my bed forever. Black leather ties encircling those dainty wrists, those slender ankles. Stretched wide for me. You’d never be able to escape.
Even if I make a fortune someday, it won’t compare to how rich I feel every time you open your thighs for me.
“You make your own luck. This city is good for that sort of thing.”
“My point is, I wanted you then. I still want you now. When I walked away from you all those years ago, I knew that wanting would never stop.” He tucked a strand of hair—sleek, not-frizzy hair, thank you very much—behind her ear. “Prettiness helps, Tatiana, but you and me? It’s always been more. We’re like a moth and a flame.” “Who’s the moth?” “Who cares?” Really, when it felt so good to be on fire, who did care?
There was no joy in dominating a weak female. But a strong, successful woman, an equal, who allowed him to push her to her knees? Yes. Hot.
“I want you here,” he growled. “Then I’m here.”
“I haven’t even seen you naked yet.” “You’re missing out,” she purred.
Whatever doubts she had were banished when he gazed up at her like a supplicant at her feet. He brushed his hand over her hip. “I was missing out.”
He panted into her ear and ground against her, holding her tight as he came. “No one but you, Tatiana. No one.”
“You weren’t just an old flame, Tatiana. You were my first. First best friend, first love. When we ended it, things were going badly, but…” He shook his head. “You can’t just wipe away your first.”
