Got a secret. Can you keep it? Swear this one you’ll save. Better lock it, in your pocket. Taking this one to the grave. If I show you then I know you won’t tell what I said. ‘Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead. Shhhhhhh I was tagged by Ashley from Thrifty Bibliophile to participate in The Secret Life of a Blogger Tag. Get ready to hear all my hidden thoughts darlings.
How long have you been a blogger?
1 year and 9 months!
At what point do you think you will stop?
I’m not sure. Maybe I never will and I will just slow down or maybe I will decide I no longer want to do this. Who knows what the future holds?
What’s the best thing?
Writing my thoughts down. I enjoy having a place to talk in grave detail about the things I like.
What is the worst thing? What do you do to make it okay?
Getting caught up with stats. In all my social media and with all the things I do (art, blogging, makeup art, etc.) I sometimes feel like I show more love then I receive. I will do all I can to promote other artists by liking their stuff and retweeting or commenting on other blogs and just showing genuine appreciation across all media. But, I don’t feel like I am ever shown that same recognition. Sometimes it can be discouraging and feels like people are fake with me. To make it okay I remind myself that God gave me the talents I have and I am reaching someone out there. Also, I remind myself that I do these things because I love it and the rest doesn’t matter.
How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?
I actually decided to stop doing this. It was taking so much time and with all the other things I have to do this felt like a chore. I didn’t enjoy it at all. Now I take them when I feel I am at a really cool or unique place (like Disney, beaches, museums etc.) It makes me feel like my pictures are a bit more unique and don’t look like everyone else. I also don’t have the patience other bookstagramers have lol.
Who is your book crush?
Lol, come on people. I have a ton of those I literally can not pick one and every time I start a new book there is a possibility my next love is in those pages. One of them is Khalid Ibn al-Rashid.
What author would you like to have on your blog?
Victoria Schwab would be really amazing. I would die.
What do you wear when you write your blog posts?
Whatever clothing I am in or not in at the moment.
How long does it take you to prepare?
I usually am months ahead, to be honest. Like this specific post was written in June and starting this month I will begin or have already begun 2019 posts. I write whenever, to be honest.
How do you feel about the book blogging community/culture?
Besides that one thing, I said above I have no issues. I don’t get into any drama so my time has been pleasant.
What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?
Be you 🙂
