Bookshelf Scavenger Hunt Tag

Hey, my weird aliens! How are you all on this lovely Monday? Today I am back with a fun tag. I am going on a scavenger hunt in bookshelves and you all get to come with me! Virtually, of course. I found this blog surfing the net at Dream Land Book Blog

I am going to assume we all know how a scavenger hunt works. If not it is just about finding things from a list and the more you find the better. I am hoping that I will find every single one.

So, here’s the list:

  • Find an author’s name or title with the letter Z in it.
  • Find a classic
  • Find a book with a key on it
  • Find something on your bookshelf that’s not a book
  • Find the oldest book on your shelf
  • Find a book with a girl on the cover
  • Find a book with a boy on the cover
  • Find a book that has an animal in it
  • Find a book with a male protagonist
  • Find a book with only words on it
  • Find a book with illustrations in it
  • Find a book with gold lettering
  • Find a diary (true or false)
  • Find a book written by someone with a common name (like Smith)
  • Find a book that has a close up of something on it
  • Find a book on your shelf that takes place in the earliest time period
  • Find a hardcover book without a jacket
  • Find a teal/turquoise colored book
  • Find a book with stars on it
  • Find a non-YA book
  • Find the longest book you own
  • Find the shortest book you own
  • Find a book with multiple POVs
  • Find a shiny book
  • Find a book with flowers on it

Happy scavenger hunting and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Find an author’s name or title with the letter Z in it

I almost thought I wouldn’t find anything. No book or author had a Z. Then I finally stumbled about Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova.

Find a classic

IMG_0744

I have a few classics but this is a cult classic that we all know!

Find a book with a key on it

IMG_0745

I almost went with a book that had keys on the spine but thankfully I remembered The Archived had a beautiful skeleton key on the front.

Find something on your bookshelf that’s not a book

IMG_0747

I have a few things on my shelves but I thought showing some of my shot glass collection would be the coolest.

Find the oldest book on your shelf

IMG_0748

This book was published in 1387!

Find a book with a girl on the cover

IMG_0749

I love how pretty this cover is so I went with this one.

Find a book with a boy on the cover

IMG_0750

Oh, Monty how I do love you.

Find a book that has an animal in it

IMG_0751

I have a few books that have a tiger on the cover and some other animals but this one will always be my favorite.

Find a book with a male protagonist

IMG_0752

Again, I have a lot of male protagonist books but this is one of my favorite book covers to one of my favorite series.

Find a book with only words on it

IMG_0753

I literally only one book that has only words on it. That is crazy.

Find a book with illustrations in it

IMG_0754

The Graveyard book has such cool illustrations.

Find a book with gold lettering

IMG_0755

Look at all that pretty gold. I think I get bonus points for the other gold details.

Find a diary (true or false)

IMG_0756

A memoir is a diary to me and this is one of my absolute favorites.

Find a book written by someone with a common name (like Smith)

IMG_0757

You can not get any more common than John.

Find a book that has a close up of something on it

IMG_0763

That is a lovely hourglass.

Find a book on your shelf that takes place in the earliest time period

IMG_0759

Here we have ancient Greece and that is pretty damn old people.

Find a hardcover book without a jacket

IMG_0760

I honestly don’t even know why I own this. I am not reading it and I guess I can give it away now that I have no use for it except this tag lol.

Find a teal/turquoise colored book

IMG_0761

I am doing a reread of this series next year. The lighting makes this look more blue but it goes from a dark teal to a light teal.

Find a book with stars on it

IMG_0762

Look at those pretty silver stars.

Find a non-YA book

IMG_0766

One of my favorite graphic novels/comics.

Find the longest book you own

IMG_0758

This is a whopping 750+ pages.

Find the shortest book you own

IMG_0764

This literally is only 101 pages.

Find a book with multiple POVs

IMG_0767

The Dregs gang is all here.

Find a shiny book

    1. Thank you! And I accidentally deleted your comment in how I met my book. So responding to you here: it sucks that it was spoiled but they are different than the books so if you ever give them a go they are enjoyable.

  1. NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER, IT IS WHAT YOU LEARN FROM THE BOOK AND SOMETIMES THE BOOK GIVES YOU A SPARK TO IGNITE YOUR NEW BOOK.
