June TBR

This month I am reading four ebooks and the rest are physical books. They are some amazing sounding books and I can’t wait to see what they are about.

1) All of This Is True

“In this gripping, genre-defying YA novel, four teens befriend a bestselling YA novelist, only to find their deepest, darkest secrets in the pages of her next book—with devastating consequences.” WOWOWOWOW imagine your favorite YA novelist using your life as their plot for their book???

2) Kaya Abaniah and the Father of the Forest

“Kaya Abaniah and the Father of the Forest is a unique story, set in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Follow Kaya’s struggles with love, rivalry, and academic life, as he confronts the terrifying creatures of Trinidad and Tobago’s folklore, and unlocks the shocking mystery of Papa Bois, the father of the forest.”  I have never read Tobago or Trinidadian folklore so I am excited to read this.

3) Legendary

“Stephanie Garber’s limitless imagination takes flight once more in the colorful, mesmerizing, and immersive sequel to the bestselling breakout debut Caraval.” Now we get to be apart of Tella’s point of view and get involved in the deadly games once again.

4) Smoke in The Sun

“After Okami is captured in the Jukai forest, Mariko has no choice–to rescue him, she must return to Inako and face the dangers that have been waiting for her in the Heian Castle.” I am so excited to see how this duology ends.

5) Some Kind of Perfect

“The conclusion to the epic ten-book series about the unbreakable strength of family, friendship, and love. Lily & Lo are back one final time. Childhood best friends and soul mates. Ryke & Daisy are back one final time. Wild risk-takers and flirty adventurers. Connor & Rose are back one final time. Genius rivals and intellectual teammates. Ten years of laughter. Of heartache. And love.” I am finally at the end of this series and I am so excited to see how it all wraps up.

6) Blood and Sand

“The action-packed tale of a 17-year-old warrior princess and a handsome gladiator who dared take on the Roman Republic—and gave rise to the legend of Spartacus…For teens who love strong female protagonists in their fantasy and historical fiction, Blood and Sand is a stirring, yet poignant tale of two slaves who dared take on an empire by talented debut author C. V. Wyk.” Historical fiction and fantasy??? Sign me up.

7) The Touch

“The story is supernatural but also delves into the condition of the human heart.” This story sounds truly interesting.

8-10) Mistborn Trilogy

This sounds like such a great fantasy! I have heard so many great things!

I can’t wait to read all these books and see what they are about. What are you reading this month?

  1. I’m super excited to see what you think of All Of This Is True and Legendary. Those both are on my TBR. I heard Legendary was even better than Caraval so I’m excited to read it. I have it on hold at the library I just have it suspended because I have too many books out right now.

  2. I had received a copy of Blood and Sand, and it was pretty good! Hope you enjoy it, too!
I’m planning on reading Frostblood, Beyond a Darkened Shore, An Ember in the Ashes and whatever else I feel like it’s appropriate. I think I’ve turned into a mood reader.
