Top 5 Favorite Genres

Time for another discussion post but this time it will be super short. I want to discuss my favorite genres that I love and why.

  1. Fantasy- I love all types of fantasy. My favorites are high, epic, dark, etc. All of it brings me pure joy.
  2. Historical Fiction- As a huge history buff learning all about different era’s is something I truly enjoy. So, I love reading about them in books.
  3. YA & Middle Grade- For me both of these genres are equal. I love how well written these genres can be and the topics they can hit.
  4. New Adult & Romance- As a hopeless romantic this genre speaks to me on many levels lol.
  5. Contemporary- Now this is a love-hate relationship but I do enjoy some contemporary books.

  1. I really want to get into fantasy more. I know it’s such a popular genre and not one I usually lean towards. I also want to get into reading more middle grade books. I have read Roald Dahl. I love his books a lot. I want to get into other authors as well. You know what you should check out, Trial By Journal By Katie Klise. It’s such a fun book with lots of drawings and such. I had to read it for school years ago and it’s one of the few school readings I actually liked.

  2. It depends on my mood, but right now my favorite genre is contemporary. I’ve been in the mood for light-hearted and sweet books so that’s what I’ve been reading. Which is killing my TBR list because I didn’t own/have many contemporary books to read. Whoops! But I do really enjoy fantasy and historical fiction (mainly YA).
