Let’s put me to the test. The book blogger test tag to be exact lol. I was not nominated for this one by the amazing Karen at Simply Karen Jo. The rules are:
- Thank the person who nominated you and add a link to their blog
- Answer the ten questions asked on this post
- Nominate at least five people to do it also
Top 3 Book Pet Hates – I hate mid-series book cover changes not because I NEED books to match but I do like when they do. My OCD self will get an eye twitch from the unmatching covers but I can deal with it I just rather not. Secondly, I hate love triangles, squares, circles, octagons, rhombus, etc. I hate any romance that involves more than two people and the nuance of one person “loving” two people. It is annoying and something you NEVER see in real life and I don’t mean a polygamous relationship. If an author wants more than one live interest why not get a little different with it and do a polygamy relationship. Lastly, I hate the chosen one who knows nothing of the world they are in magically being smarter and better than the secondary characters who grew up their whole life in that world. It is unrealistic and annoying. Authors would build a better story and character arc if they utilized their secondary characters instead of only relying on the chosen one.
Perfect Reading Spot – I read everywhere but mostly on a bed. My bed is obviously where I read the most but a bed, in general, is the best spot for me.
3 Book Confessions – I have never read Harry Potter and never plan to. It just does not interest me at all but I totally love the huge fandom following it has. I am not one of those special edition collectors but I recently realized I would 100% do it for my favorite authors like Victoria Schwab and my other favorites. I 100% judge a book by its cover and I think that saying not to is dumb. I understand it is not up to the authors but the people who it is up to need to make sure that cover reflects the story because everything about that book is important. The cover is a snippet of that world.
Last Time You Cried Reading a Book – The Kite Runner. That is all I will say because even thinking about it is too much.
Number of Books on Your Bedside Table– Usually one book at most 3 books.
Favorite Reading Snack – I don’t eat and read. If I do it’s most likely a granola bar, candy, chips, or fruit.
3 Books You’d Recommend to Anyone – I wouldn’t just recommend three books, to be honest. Whenever people ask for my recommendation I send them to my favorites list here or write it out for them. But if I had to I would say The Broken Empire trilogy, the Shades of Magic trilogy, and the Lumatere Chronicles trilogy.
A Picture of Your Favorite Bookshelf –
How Much Books Mean To You (in 3 words) – My entire world.
Biggest Reading Secret – Not much of a secret but no one is allowed to borrow my books beside my little sister and even then she can’t take them anywhere besides her room.
