Virgin. Sex addict. Daredevil. Alcoholic. Smartass … Jackass. Her five friends are about to be filmed. Reality TV, be prepared. Rose Calloway thought she had everything under control. At twenty-three, she’s a Princeton graduate, an Academic Bowl champion, a fashion designer and the daughter of a Fortune 500 mogul. But with a sex addict as a sister and roommate, nothing comes easy. After accepting help from a producer, Rose agrees to have her life filmed for a reality television show. The Hollywood exec is her last chance to revive her struggling fashion line, and boundaries begin to blur as she’s forced to make nice with a man who always has his way. Twenty-four-year-old Connor Cobalt is a guy who bulldozes weak men. He’s confident, smart-as-hell and lives with his equally ambitious girlfriend, Rose Calloway. Connor has to find a way to protect Rose without ruining the show. Or else the producer will get what Connor has always wanted—Rose’s virginity.

“You’re safe with me, you know that, Rose?” I ask her. “I won’t ever hurt you.” I’ve always treated her like she’s an extension of myself.

Kiss the Sky is the first story in the Calloway Sisters series and the 4th story in the Addicted series. We get to follow the story of Connor Cobalt and Rose Calloway. I felt most connected with this couple and Rose is me in book form. From her personality to the things Connor helps to uncover what she likes. This story was so amazing. I don’t know how these girls make their stories better and better every story but they manage it every time and I can’t wait to read Fuel the Fire soon. The events in this book take place after Lily’s addiction went public in the world. We see how the six deal with everything through Connor and Rose’s point of view. The reality show setting is very funny and makes for a very entertaining read.

“Don’t be afraid of me,” I whisper lowly in her ear. “I may not always be on your side, but I have your best interest at heart.”

1) Characters

The unknown is frightening for her. But it can be the wildest, most tempestuous out-of-body experience she’ll ever have.

Rose is my favorite female in the whole series because I relate to her the most. I love to read and learn, I want to start my own company, certain things she likes I like, I am OCD when it comes to cleanliness and organization/lists, I can’t go anywhere without my planner and a lot more. I love how smart, ambitious, and stunning she is. Connor was amazing to learn about and see what he deals with. I love how brave he is and how he is the center of the group because he calms them all and is always there for his loved ones. I also loved seeing Ryke, Daisy, Lo, and Lily. They were amazing as always.

2) Plot

“I’d choose to die if it meant my sisters could live. You think it’s stupid, but sometimes love is worth every foolish choice you make.”

I liked the plot of this book and the twists that I didn’t see coming at all like that whole thing with the bastard Scott or what Connor did at the end for Rose. The reality show was executed in the book perfectly because it felt incredibly accurate to what I see when I watch one lol. It had the fights, the tears, the sexy times, the drama, the angst, the happiness, and twists you don’t expect.

3) Writing

“You’re not a pit stop. You’re my finish line. There’s no one after you.”

The writing was awesome because the authors really made me feel like I was reading different characters and not just a repeat of Lily and Lo. Connor and Rose had their own distinct voice that we got to experience and enjoy. The way they wrote the villainish guy Scott was really good because I wanted to climb into the pages and attack him.

4) Romance

I realize it doesn’t matter what I believe outside the bedroom. In life, I can be powerful, but here, I can trust him to fill me with his power, his strength.

As I stated my interests are the same as Connor and Rose so for me this was exactly what I wanted. My favorite thing was how delicately the authors handled this type of relationship with care and accuracy. I can not get over them enough. Every moment they were together I was as swooning blushing mess.

“You are my pet.” He climbs further onto the bed. “You’re also my girl. My lover. As I am your man. The only difference…” He pauses, drawing out the tension between us. “I’ll always be on top.”

“I’ve wanted so many things in life,” he says softly, “but you’re the one that has meant the most to me.” Translation: I love you.

“Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” One of my favorite quotes. I turn a fraction, just enough so that our lips don’t suddenly collide. “Shakespeare,” I breathe

“I am so deeply in love with you, Rose.” I wipe her cheeks with my thumb.

“Kiss the sky with me,” Connor whispers, a beautiful smile pulling his lips, “and don’t ever come down.”

If you have read this story what did you think of it?
