I saw this tag over at Dream Land Book Blog when I was looking up some tags that I wanted to do on Google. This one sounded really fun and I got to take pictures of my shelves and books so 🙂 I love book tags and I know people love reading them so I am excited to do another one day. Let’s see what awaits me with the questions.
Describe your bookshelf and where you got it from.
This bookshelf is my big one. I had a tiny one but books were overflowing tremendously so, I had to buy this one at a yard sale. I don’t really have bookish items because I don’t get book boxes as of yet. So, all I have are shot glasses from the places I’ve traveled to, a blue ceramic cat (favorite color and my nickname is Kat), an owl candle holder turned jewelry holder and a cool clock.
This is my desk shelves. These just have books on them and all my desk things lol so not much to explain.
How do you organize your books?
I put series of books together on the bigger shelf and on the desk shelf I put all my stand-alone novels. That is pretty much how I always do it.
What’s the longest book on your shelf?
The longest book is Breaking Dawn with 757 pages.
What’s the shortest book on your shelf?
The shortest book on my shelf is The Twelfth Night with 101 pages.
Is there a book you received as a birthday gift?
Before my Titi Barbara passed away a few years ago, it was a tradition that she bought me every Rick Riordan book when it came out for my birthday. It was because of her that I got into his books and became one of my favorite authors. Every time I see his books I am reminded of him.
Is there a book from a friend on your shelf?
Besides those books and a few that my family has bought me for Christmas/Birthday, all my books were bought by me.
The most expensive book on your shelf?
I actually have no idea. It might be the collector’s edition of A Darker Shade of Magic.
The last book you read on your shelf?
The Kite Runner
Do you have a complete series?
I have 16 completed series and 23 series altogether the ones not completed (the rest of the series hasn’t come out yet.)
What’s the newest addition to your shelf?
I got the Infernal Devices, the Dark Artifices, the Mistborn Trilogy, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue for Christmas. I would have newer ones but I am waiting until Aril to buy some books that will come out between January-April.
The oldest book on your shelf?
These are my oldest books I can’t remember which one I have owned the longest.
What’s a book you’d hate to let out of your sight? (A.K.A. No one is touching it. Ever.)
All of my books. The only person allowed to borrow my books is my little sister.
The most beat up book?
This Savage Song but, only because I was taking book pictures and my little sister accidentally rested the book on a wet table. I saved it so it’s ok.
The most pristine book?
A lot of my books are in great condition but the best ones are the Hunger Games trilogy box set. I had the original covers but my sister got this box set. She didn’t read the books and when I asked to switch she said yes. So, basically, these books were never touched.
A book that doesn’t belong to you?
I own all my books.
A book that is your favorite color?
Blue is my favorite color 🙂
A book that’s been on your shelf the longest and you still haven’t read it?
I will get to these at some point in life.
Of all the books on your shelf, which was the first you read?
I have absolutely no idea probably one of the ones I have owned the longest I would imagine.
Any signed books?
Yes but, sadly I didn’t get to meet these lovely women. I bought the collector’s edition of A Darker Shade of Magic and it came signed. I won a signed bookplate when I pre-ordered The Becoming of Noah Shaw. The City of Brass isn’t signed but she signed her letter, sticky note, and annotated the books for the PageHabit box so I am including it lol.
This was fun and I hope you enjoyed. If you want to do this tag then go for it and let me see your pretty shelves and books.
