Bookish Bucket List

Hello friends! The last time I did a bucket list it was my fictional bucket list. So, it was things and places I wanted to do and go with characters from my books. This time I am doing my bookish bucket list of things I want to do involving real life. I really love this list and I can’t wait to come back each time I accomplish something and check it off.

This is my first time ever really thinking about what I would love to do and accomplish regarding the book community but I have come up with an awesome list that I believe will happen. Let’s get started!

I want to:

  1. Meet my favorite authors (Victoria/V.E. Schwab, Mark Lawrence, Rick Riordan, Michelle Hodkin, Renée Ahdieh, and Melina Marchetta)
  2. Go to BookCon
  3. Go to YallFest
  4. Go to BookExpo America
  5. Go to Comic-Con: San Diego and one other
  6. Go to National Book Fair
  7. Go to Texas Book Festival
  8. Build a home library like the Beast had
  9. Visit a library in every country I visit (with a picture of me there)
  10. Visit the Shakespeare bookstore in Paris
  11. Do a buddy read with someone
  12. Interview my favorite authors (Victoria/V.E. Schwab, Mark Lawrence, Rick Riordan, Michelle Hodkin, Renée Ahdieh, and Melina Marchetta)
  13. Read all of my books on my want to read list in Goodreads
  14. Build a cozy reading nook/area in my home and other bookish furniture (stairs painted as books etc.)
  15. Get signed books
  16. Read under the Eiffel Tower
  17. Get a picture of me reading in every country I visit
  18. Take book pictures in every country I visit especially with the Seven Wonders of the World (Great Wall of China, Petra, Christ the Redeemer, Machu Pichu, Chichen Itza, Colosseum, Taj Mahal, plus The Pyramids of Giza the only surviving original seven wonders)
  19. Read in a coffee shop
  20. Meet other bloggers in real life
  21. Visit 5 book inspired locations
  22. Plan a book-themed road trip
  23. Reach 1000 followers on my blog
  24. Get to a point where authors and publishers ask me to review their books (I have had several authors send me books yay!!!)
  25. Have a review posted/published by a national publication/website
  26. Get blurbed on an authors book
  27. Guest post for 5 other blogs (So, your character is from…)
  28. Start a bookish meme
  29. Do an international giveaway (Hosted a Twitter giveaway from August-September)
  30. Make and sell art from my favorite books
  31. See a Shakespeare in the park and more of his plays
  32. Go to an event for my favorite authors (Victoria/V.E. Schwab, Mark Lawrence, Rick Riordan, Michelle Hodkin, Renée Ahdieh, and Melina Marchetta) and a few others
  33. Create some blackout poetry
  34. Throw a Gatsby-style party
  35. Join a book club
  36. Go on a bookish tour (especially the Jane Austen one)
  37. Visit the Library of Congress

Tell me in the comments, what might be on your bookish bucket list?

  2. Great list!!! I have some of these on mines too. I think I’ll add this on my list to blog about.

I’ve been to Yallwest twice already and loved it!! This year will be my 3rd time going and I’m already soooo excited. Book festivals are soooo crazy and exhausting but sooo fun!

      1. Yes you should! Definitely an amazing experience to be around other book lovers. I always get so shy and nervous when I meet authors… I think I say the weirdest things but I still love going to those events.

  3. I love your list! I may have to steal this post idea! Also i’m open to buddy reading a book with you. I tired to buddy read Ready Player One with my brother but it didn’t work out because he doesn’t like to read.
