The Aesthetically Pleasing Book Tag

The Aesthetically Pleasing Book Tag is definitely a thing of beauty. It was created by Book Syrup on Youtube, and you can find the original video here. Let’s get right to it, shall we?

1. Best color combo on a book cover

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

These colors are what drew me to the book in the first place plus the illustration. This book is so gorgeous and I smile whenever I look at it.

2. Best typography/font on a book cover

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I think a book that can stand out with just type is something magical. Caraval does just that the way the designer used all the different elements to make it pop are so well done.

3. Best simple cover

A Darker Shade of Magic Trilogy by V.E. Schwab

Minimalist book covers are some of my favorite covers. This trilogy stands out on my shelf with it being all white with pops of red & black. It is so gorgeous.

4. Best endpages

Tiger’s Destiny by Colleen Houck

I just really like how the map shows where the characters have traveled over the past few books and where this book will go.

5. Best map

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

I mean need I say more? This looks like a hand-drawn map and has so much detail it is beautiful.

6. Best naked hardback

None of my naked hardbacks were nice. They all were plain colors so there wasn’t much lol.

7. Best back cover

Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab

I didn’t have any really so this is the nicest because it was interesting and didn’t have reviews plaguing the back.

8. Best chapter headers

Six of Crows Leigh Bardugo

Again they’re all pretty normal this was the only one to stand out a bit.

9. Best illustrations

Fortunately, The Milk by Neil Gaiman

Do I honestly even need to explain this? Look how dope they are.

10. Best spine

Rick Riordan’s books

Look how beautiful they are! They are so colorful and bright they make me happy. THIS PICTURE IS NOT MINE THE REST ARE BUT I FORGOT TO GET A PIC WHEN I DID THIS TAG SO I GOT THIS FROM GOOGLE.

11. Favorite cover on your shelves

The Broken Empire Trilogy by Mark Lawrence

This trilogy just speaks to me. Not only is it one of my favorite books but the covers became my ultimate fav. They are clean and badass. The crisp white, interesting font in different colors, and the illustrations that took my breath away and I need I had to have them.

I tag anyone who is willing to give this bad boy a shot. Let me see your pretty books!!!!
