Part of the strange madness of being a book lover is getting excited about books that are months away while your To Be Read pile gets more and more out of control.
Most of the time I can wait patiently for them to be released and then wait more patiently as other libraries in my network set them aside for their own patrons (selfish bastards) and then wait even more patiently when I finally get on the hold list and I end up being 53rd.
But there are times when there is no possible way I can wait that long. Or I am so sure I will fall in love with the book I am going to want to keep it forever.

I think every book lover is impatiently awaiting the release of this follow up (but really first version) of To Kill a Mockingbird. I have both the hardcover and audiobook on pre-order. And I took the day off of work . . . .
