There is a point (for me, anyhow) when in the middle of reading/listening to a particularly long book when I hit a wall and I HATE it.
Ok. So I don’t hate the books.
But sometimes it feels like a slog. I have about 18 hours left in the second book of the Outlander series, Dragonfly in Amber. And I have been toying with the idea of giving up, but I want to find out how it ends!
I finished A Little Life a while back and I ran into the same problem when I was about to the half way point. I was enjoying it throughly (and crying, but that is another bookworm problem) but when I set it down after reading 50-ish pages it looked like I had hardly made a dent.
Last time I had it this bad is when I spent the summer listening to The Stand.
The only cure is short books for the next couple weeks!
I am linking up over at the Quirky Bookworm. Head over and see what is getting the rest of the bookworms down this month.
