A few weeks ago my sister texted me a picture of a handout that her daughter’s second grade teacher sent home with the kids. During the 4th quarter Mrs Howard reaches out to friends and family of her students and asks for volunteers to come in and read the class a story.
This is all incognito, the kids don’t know who is coming but right before you show up at the door the teacher gives three clues for the kids to guess your identity. And since Hailey’s school is 45 minutes away from where I live, I was pretty sure no one in her class would guess.
This sounds like something that is made for my face. I got ahold of Hailey’s teacher and set up a time. Then I spent the next three weeks freaking out about book I was going to read. Hailey has high expectations and she lets you know, in no uncertain terms, when you have disappointed her. After much deliberation I settled on Dragons Love Tacos, because tacos.
