This is usually the time of the month when I share a three books that I bought over the last month that I am pretty excited about.
I usually buy many more books than just 3 (much to my husband’s annoyance) and I read many more books than I am able to talk about on the blog.
So meet the Book Breakdown.
Lordy, don’t tell my husband I bough this many books this month.
- Ms Marvel, Volume 2
- Laura Ingalls Wilder: A Writer’s Life
- The Lowland
- Jurassic Park (audio pre-order)
- The Whole30
- The Dead Lands
- Our Endless Numbered Days
- The Sasquatch Hunter’s Manual
- I also picked up all 8 Outlander titles while they were on sale
I fell in love with Station Eleven early on and I savored it by reading it slowly. Yaqui was a great, food essays (Feast Nearby) always make be happy, and I am trying to think of a way to get Aimee to let me move in with her after devouring Brown Eggs like a novel and Life-Changing Magic spurned me on our remodeling/decluttering efforts.
- The Little Bookstore at Big Stone Gap
- The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up
- We Should All Be Feminists
- Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass
- Brown Eggs and Jam Jars
- The Feast Nearby
- Station Eleven
I liked them all but felt the need to hug Lumberjanes when I was done. I am pretty sure Locke & Key gave me nightmares . . . .
Since I have jumped on the Scribd bandwagon I have been able to knock out many of the books that have been on my TBR for far too long (American Gods, and the Southern Reach Trilogy).
- I’ll Give You the Sun
- Mermaids in Paradise
- American Gods
- How to Build a Girl
- Fire Season
- The Things They Carried
- The Buried Giant
